Adopt a Dog in Cyprus

withBobi is the island-wide place to adopt a dog in Cyprus. We're a platform, not a shelter: independent rescues and fosters across the island list their dogs here, and you talk to them directly. Browse by city β€” Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos, Famagusta β€” or by type, from puppies to small, large and senior dogs. Every profile shows real photos and an honest read on the dog's character.

Here's how it works: find a dog you like, send an inquiry through their page, and the rescue or foster caring for them replies directly. You arrange a meet, ask your questions, and if it's a match, agree the handover. withBobi charges nothing; each rescue sets its own adoption donation, which typically covers vaccination, sterilisation, microchipping and vet bills.

Most of our dogs are currently fostered in and around Limassol, but adopters come from every corner of Cyprus β€” and many rescues also rehome to the EU and UK. If the dog you've fallen for is in another city, ask anyway: fosters regularly help arrange transport or a meeting halfway.

Why adopt through withBobi

withBobi exists so you never have to guess where Cyprus's rescue dogs are. One platform, every independent shelter and foster, no middleman: your inquiry goes straight to the person who feeds that dog every morning, and we take no fee at any step. And if you ever find a stray or injured animal, our live SOS map lets you report it in about 30 seconds so nearby volunteers can respond.

Questions people ask

How much does it cost to adopt a dog in Cyprus?

withBobi is free β€” we never charge adopters or rescues. Each rescue sets its own adoption donation, which typically covers vaccination, sterilisation, microchipping and the vet bills the dog has already run up. Ask the rescue directly through the dog's page; they'll tell you the exact amount before you commit to anything.

How does the adoption process work?

Browse the dogs, open a profile you like, and send an inquiry through that page. The rescue or foster caring for the dog answers you directly β€” there's no middleman. From there you arrange a meeting, ask anything you want, and if you're both happy, agree the adoption and the handover.

Will there be a home check?

Many rescues do a short home check or a video call before handover β€” it's normal and nothing to worry about. They mostly want to see a secure garden or balcony and talk through the dog's daily routine. Each rescue decides its own process, so ask what to expect when you first get in touch.

Are the dogs vaccinated, sterilised and microchipped?

Almost always, yes. Rescues in Cyprus routinely vaccinate, sterilise and microchip their dogs before adoption β€” that's exactly what the adoption donation covers. Puppies too young for sterilisation are usually rehomed with an agreement to do it later. Each dog's profile and rescue can confirm the details.

Can I adopt if I live in another city β€” or abroad?

Yes. Most dogs are fostered around Limassol, but adopters come from Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta all the time, and fosters often help with transport. Many rescues also rehome internationally to the EU and UK, arranging a pet passport and travel β€” expect that to take a few extra weeks.
