Jasper is a Shar-Pei mix with the unmistakable softness of the breed — the gentle wrinkles, the thoughtful face, the slightly serious expression that breaks open the moment someone he trusts walks into the yard.

He came to Robert's Sanctuary in April 2025 and has been quietly waiting ever since. He's the kind of dog who doesn't rush the gate or bark for attention. He watches, he weighs you up, and once he's decided you're alright, he leans in — that solid, warm, full-bodied lean that Shar-Pei mixes do so well.

He's neutered, up to date on his flea and tick treatments (Simparica on 15 June 2025, Bravecto on 1 May 2025) and his deworming (Dosalid, 12 November 2025). His shelter team know him well: a calm boy, easy to handle, ready for the routine of a real home — daily walks, a soft bed of his own, and someone who appreciates a dog that thinks before he acts.

Jasper would do best with an owner who understands the Shar-Pei temperament: loyal, slightly reserved with strangers, deeply bonded once he chooses you. He's not the dog who'll be everyone's best friend in the park — he's the dog who'll be YOUR best friend, every day, for the rest of his life.
