Angel is nine years old, a large black mix with a white blaze running down her chest, soft floppy ears, and the silver muzzle of a true senior. She was born in 2016, and her face tells the whole story — the grey around the mouth, the gentle amber eyes, the quiet way she walks toward you in the kennel as if to say, 'Are you the one?'

She's a senior, and seniors at the shelter have it the hardest. People walk past, looking for puppies and bright futures. Angel just stands there, watching, hoping. And every time someone crouches down to greet her, her whole body softens — the calm, dignified weight of a big old girl who's been waiting a long time for the soft chapter.

She's already spayed and on regular flea and tick treatments (Simparica through spring 2026). All the hard medical chapters are behind her. What she needs now is the easy one: a warm bed, a calm adult home, slow morning walks, and someone willing to give a senior the gentle retirement she's so clearly earned.
