Moritz is eight years old, a Belgian Shepherd with a salt-and-pepper face, big upright ears and the kind of expression that's been around the block a few times. He was born on 3 November 2017, and somewhere along the way he ended up at Robert's Sanctuary in Limassol — quiet, watchful, dignified.

He's a senior now, and seniors at the shelter have it the hardest. People walk past, looking for puppies, looking for years of life ahead. Moritz just stands there in his calm, polite way, waiting to be seen. And when someone finally crouches down to say hello, his whole posture softens — the working-shepherd alertness melts into something gentler, like he's just been waiting for permission to relax.

Belgian Shepherds are loyal to the bone. Give Moritz his person and he'll give you everything he has left: the slow morning walks, the steady presence at your feet, the soft sigh as he settles in beside you on the sofa. He's microchipped, passported, and regularly cared for — all the hard admin is done. What's missing is a quiet adult home willing to make his senior years the softest ones he's ever had.

Eight is not too old. Eight is exactly the right age for someone to finally take him home.
