Adopt a Senior Dog in Cyprus
Senior dogs are the easiest dogs most people never consider. They're calm, usually house-trained, past the chewing phase, and quietly grateful for a warm bed. Yet in shelters across Cyprus they wait the longest. If you want to adopt a senior dog in Cyprus, withBobi connects you directly with the independent rescues and fosters caring for them β no middleman, and no fee from us.
Here's how it works. Browse the dogs on withBobi, open a profile that feels right, and send an inquiry through that dog's page. The rescue or foster answers you directly β they know the dog's habits, health and quirks better than anyone. Most seniors are fostered in and around Limassol, but adopters come from all over Cyprus, and many rescues also rehome to the EU and UK.
Can't adopt right now? You can still change an old dog's life. Many rescues welcome sponsors who cover a senior's food and vet care, and fosters who offer a sofa while the dog waits for a family. For an old dog, even a few months in a home is a different life. Just ask about it in your inquiry.

withBobi is Cyprus's animal-rescue platform β not a shelter. We list dogs from independent shelters and fosters across the island and put you in direct contact with the people who know them, with no middleman and no platform fees. Any adoption donation goes entirely to the rescue itself. We also run a live SOS map, where anyone can report an injured or stray animal in about 30 seconds, backed by volunteers and a Telegram alert channel.
Questions people ask
How much does it cost to adopt a senior dog in Cyprus?
withBobi charges nothing. Each rescue sets its own adoption donation, which typically covers vaccination, sterilisation, microchipping and the vet bills already paid. For a senior dog, the care they've already received usually costs far more than the donation itself.
How does the adoption process work?
Browse the dogs on withbobi.com, send an inquiry through the page of the dog you like, and the rescue or foster replies directly. Then comes a meet-and-greet, usually a short home check, and an adoption agreement. No needless bureaucracy β you're talking to the people who know the dog.
Will there be a home check?
Most rescues in Cyprus do a short home visit or a video call before adoption. It isn't there to judge your house β it's to match the right dog to the right home. Senior dogs need less space and less exercise, so a flat is often a perfect fit.
Are senior dogs healthy? What's included?
Senior dogs on withBobi are rehomed vaccinated, sterilised and microchipped, and rescues are upfront about any known conditions. Some seniors need ongoing care β ask the foster and you'll get a straight answer. Nobody wants a dog coming back.
I live in another city, or abroad. Can I still adopt?
Yes. Most dogs are fostered around Limassol, but adopters come from Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta too. Many rescues also arrange international adoption to the EU and UK, with a pet passport and transport sorted. Mention where you live in your first message.
