Will there be a home check before I can adopt?
Many rescues do a simple home check or a video call to see where the dog will live. It's not an inspection to fail β they mainly want to know the space is safe, the garden is secure if there is one, and everyone in the household is on board.
What health care will the dog have had?
As a rule, dogs go to their new homes vaccinated, sterilised (age permitting) and microchipped, with their vet bills already covered by the rescue. The rescue will share the dog's vet history and be upfront about anything ongoing. Ask about whatever concerns you before you commit.
I live outside Larnaca β or outside Cyprus. Can I still adopt?
