Jack was born in March 2018, and he's spent almost his entire life behind the same shelter fence. Seven years of watching people come and go, of tails wagging at every visitor, of being passed over again and again. Seven years is a long time to keep hoping.

But Jack still hopes. He's a 35-kilo cross breed with a big square head, a chest full of muscle, and eyes that go soft the second a human crouches down to say hello. He's loyal in that deep, single-minded way some dogs are — the kind who picks his person and never looks away. Once you're his, you're his forever.

He'd do best as the only animal in the home. No cats, and ideally no other dogs either — Jack has too much love to share it. What he needs is a calm adult household, a sofa with his name on it, and someone who understands that a dog who's waited this long will give back every ounce of devotion he's been saving up.

Seven years is enough. Jack is ready. He just needs his human to finally walk through the gate.
