Blake is a Husky, born in April 2015 — which makes him eleven years old now, and a senior in every way that matters. He has the classic husky face: wise, watchful, with eyes that seem to look right through you. But there's no wildness left in him, only softness. He's done his running. What he wants now is a sofa.

For years he's watched families walk through the gates and choose the puppies, the smaller dogs, the easier stories. People see 'husky' and imagine the snow-dog stereotype — high energy, hard work, escape artist. Blake isn't that dog anymore. He's calm, gentle, and quietly affectionate, the kind of senior who leans into a hand and stays there.

He's neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and healthy for his age. What he needs is a calm adult home — ideally with someone who understands huskies, or just someone patient enough to give a senior dog the slow, peaceful chapter he's earned.

Eleven years is a long time to wait for a home. Blake has been patient. Now he just needs someone to be patient back.
